Some houses sell rest. These sell company. The lobby has a sound, the table has an hour, and the people around the guest are part of what the guest came for — which is a legitimate product, declared openly rather than apologised for.
The sensor is programming. A hotel is admitted when the operator publishes the scene as a thing it makes: residencies, a calendar, a named bar, a kitchen with a time of night attached to it. Where the social life is borrowed from the city outside, the house is classified by what it actually operates.
The question is declared, the sensor is published, and the ground travels with the verdict.
